The Day the Cherries Arrived

Farmer's Market - Em Brooke & Kate 6-2-12a

The only thing we like better than going to the Farmer’s Market, is going to the Farmer’s Market when they have cherries.  We were so excited that the early cherries arrived the first weekend in June.

We loved sitting in the sunshine enjoying such a wonderful summery treat while listening to a Marimba band perform.  Emily also loved the fresh sugar peas and almost singlehandedly polished off the entire bag of them we purchased.  Eventually the rhythm go to Emily and Brooke and they had to go dance… they had a blast until a creepy well-intended older gentleman tried to dance with Emily.  That was a show stopper for both of my tiny dancers.

It was such a great day at the market.  We are anxious for many more to come this summer.

Reminds me of eating the peas out of Grandpa's garden. The girls look so cute. I love that they love doing things like this. I hope the creepy guy experience won't stop them from dancing in the street in the future!
