So while we enjoyed our pool time in Boise, we met a new character that had us all laughing. Emily decided she really liked lounging on the pool floats. Then somehow, all of that cuteness morphed into her becoming the “Dread Pirate Emily.” She would sail around the pool with the help of her crew (her daddy) and fire upon innocent swimmers.
She loved finding people to soak and even captured the mermaid Brooke along the way.
Mermaid Brooke eventually escaped, so the Dread Pirate Emily had to retreat, soak and recapture her.
Emily really owned the role, when we’d ask her who she was, she would say, “ARRRGGGGHHHH, I a Dread PIRATE!”
That sweet little pirate made pool time extra fun for all of us.
