Katelyn was so excited to celebrate her 10th birthday with her friends. Several of her closest friends were out of town, but we were so glad that the rest of her besties were able to be there and celebrate as she turned double digits.
She chose to have her party at Sky High – she thought about having a spa party but wanted her close friends that are boys to be able to come and celebrate with her and she knew that pedicures would not be something they would enjoy or even agree to. Also, a several of her girlfriends from school and dance were out of town on her birthday, so Sky High was the perfect spot for this diverse group. I love that most of these kids are the same friends she’s celebrated every birthday with since we moved here.
After we arrived and got everything settled, it was time to jump. The kids had a blast and loved that they could actually jump off of the walls.
We took a pizza break and then sent them back to jump some more. Since it was a beautiful summer day, the place was mostly empty which made it even more fun.
Our next jumping break was when it was time time for presents and cake. Katelyn’s friends showered her with such wonderful gifts and Emily loved helping her open everything.
Katelyn requested a donut cake (chocolate iced with white glaze and rainbow sprinkles) and rainbow cupcakes.
After we sugared them up we sent them out to jump a little more.
Katelyn had such a great time celebrating with her buddies and I think she really felt loved. She is such a fantastic girl, I loved seeing her so happy – I can’t believe my girl is a decade old.
After her party was over we had one more activity for the evening. Katelyn, Brooke, Sara and I all went to the Fox Theater to see a performance of Fiddler On the Roof with her Activity Day group. It was such an incredible show and we had a wonderful time.
We love you so much Katelyn and hope you know what an amazing young lady you are – we feel so blessed to have you in our family.
