So the week before our spring break starts we actually get another “break.” Katelyn’s school has “half-days” so that the teachers can hold parent-teacher conferences in the afternoon. That means that the kids only go to school until just after twelve o’clock for an entire week. It is wonderful! Gram came to help us celebrate Emily’s birthday and was there to have some “half-day” fun with us too.
After celebrating Emily’s birthday, we decided we would try to encourage spring to make an appearance by doing some spring things. We started by doing some decorating for Easter.
Emily also got to open another present – she is a big fan of unwrapping gifts.
We also played outside while the weather was tolerable. It wasn’t very warm but it was a lot of fun.
We finished off the day with a great dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant – the girls ate more food that night than they usually do in an entire week. Emily loved everything she tried and has officially joined her sisters in their love of Asian food.
We had so much fun with Gram and are so glad she was there to help us get spring started.
