For our first official weekday of spring break, we thought we would try to find some warm sunny weather, so we headed to the park. It wasn’t raining, but it was definitely not warm. The kids still had a great time playing on the playground and moving around helped everyone keep warm.
Then we decided to use the wind to our advantage and fly kites. The kites practically flew themselves and we started to freeze. It was definitely less windy down on the playground, so we brought in the kites and headed back to play. Since I didn’t want to have any frozen kids to defrost, we decided to head back to a nice warm house. So we had fun looking for spring but decided staying indoors was a better choice for our evening activities.
To make Brooke feel at home, the girls all put on their footie pajamas and we enjoyed popcorn and Oreos while working on our lofty Wii goals for Mario Kart and watching Bolt for the second time in 24 hours. I love spring break!!!
