The Day Emily Started Crawling

Just before Emily turned seven months old, she decided to squeeze in one more trick as a six month old… she is crawling!

The girls used the ultimate bait… Katelyn’s WebKinz.  The “forbidden fruit” worked like a charm. 

Emily gets up in the crawling position and then lunges forward… not the prettiest method, but effective nonetheless.  Before she knew it and faster than we thought she was cruising towards the bait.

She only stopped to look up and smile at us.  She was so proud of herself and thrilled at the fuss her audience was making.

When she finally reached “Brownie” the horse, “Berry” the dog, and “Daisy” the duck, Katelyn rewarded Emily’s hard work with a few minutes of play time with the beloved pets.  As soon as the drooling and chewing started however, Katelyn distracted her and removed her pets to safety.  Emily is so pleased with her new trick and happy to go after all the treasures her sisters leave on the floor.
