After getting the girls’ pictures taken in their Christmas dresses we went downstairs in the mall to introduce Emily to Santa. Katelyn was never a big fan of the sitting-on-the-lap part and much prefers writing the Jolly Old Fellow a letter. Brooke on the other hand has always been a big fan of anything dressed up in a fuzzy suit, so I was curious which route Emily would go.
She definitely wasn’t afraid of him but it also wasn’t love at first sight either. She is usually very smiley, but this time she was all business. She was very inquisitive and tried hard to figure out how she could grab some of his fuzziness.
The girls liked watching her check out St. Nick and didn’t even mind posing for a picture. Katelyn was so happy that as the oldest she got to sit on the cute little velvet stool at Santa’s feet.
Katelyn asked Santa for a fishing pole and tackle box and Brooke wants a pink Leapster Explorer. Emily appears to be undecided on her wish list because she didn’t ask for anything. My guess is that next year, she and Katelyn will be fighting over who gets to sit on the stool instead of Santa’s lap.
