They Day We Got Our Garden Started

As soon as the sun started shinning this spring (for a few hours anyway) we decided to get our garden started.  During spring break, we had fun getting some seeds started inside, but working outside together in the sunshine was even better.

We started by pulling out some crazy big weeds and raking the dirt.  Both activities were crowd pleasers and the girls did a great job getting everything ready. 

The girls loved planting the seeds and Emily thought the whole activity was a blast.

Next up it was time to water anything and everything that would hold still.  Emily didn’t get to have any water in her can but still had a great time playing with it and checking it out.

 

The garden turned out great and they got all of their favorites and a few new things planted.  It is so much fun watching things grow and change as time passes.  The girls watch the seeds and I watch the girls and we are all amazed at what we see.
