It was so nice this year to have Valentine's day fall on a Saturday - that way, all of my Valentine's were at home and we could just enjoy the day together. Katelyn was cheerleading at a basketball game that morning but we had time before we left for the girls to open their presents. Katelyn was so excited to "FINALLY get a Webkinz pet!"
Berries has been a welcome addition to our family and is just the right kind of pet for us. Since Brooke does not yet fully appreciate the Internet, she was equally thrilled with her non-Webkinz puppy that she named "Pinky." The girls had a great time opening their presents and the goodies they received from our sweet relatives.![]()

The girls loved their gifts but as you can see they also thoroughly enjoyed the tissue paper in the gift bags.
The girls spent the afternoon playing with their new puppies and enjoyed having lunch together. Nothing says "I Love You" like shell noodles with tomato juice (their favorite) and vanilla flavored heart shaped Peeps. They had so much fun and loved sitting on barstools next to each other instead of Brooke being in her high chair. Simple pleasures.![]()

Kyle and I went out to a nice dinner the night before with our good friends so we enjoyed a quiet dinner at home that evening with the girls. Then we took them to Cold Stone for dessert. Brooke said "I want ice cream please!" the whole way there so we were very surprised when after one bite of ice cream, she
said she was all done and spent the remainder of the time dancing for everyone. The music they were playing was good but apparently it was really good for Brooke. Not only was she breakin' it down but she kept trying to drag Katelyn out of her chair to dance with her. She would pull on Katelyn's hand or sweater and say "Sissy dance please!" It was such a fun day and I love having an excuse to celebrate how much I love my family.
