The girls and I enjoy cooking together and we really love to eat raw cookie dough, so we decided we’d make chocolate chip and take our new aprons for a spin. Gram got these darling aprons for us this summer at Gardner Village and each one perfectly describes its chef.
Once Katelyn grabbed her spices, Brooke grabbed a purse and Emily grabbed Katelyn’s hair, we were ready to get started.
Emily supervised the entire operation from her highchair based command center while Katelyn and Brooke made the dough.
Next they formed the dough balls and we put in the first batch to bake. Then it was time for a quality control check, so we ate a ridiculous amount of cookie dough. It was perfect.
The whole ordeal tuckered Emily right out, so she missed the next phase of the activity. We had time to kill and a major sugar buzz, so the girls started a dance party.
Notice the “air” they were both getting… it was a lot of fun and helped us prepare for the taste test portion of the afternoon.
We had so much fun and the cookies were great. We had stomach aches when it was all said and done, but no salmonella food poisoning from the raw eggs in the dough, so I felt like we came out ahead.
