This year we got to celebrate the 4th of July in Utah. The girls were so excited and had their glow sticks ready to go long before the sun was down. We were able to celebrate with lots of family at Grandma Hardy’s house. This was her 92nd 4th of July and we were so happy to share it with her.
Russell and Gram put together a wonderful dinner and Emily had a chance to hang out with everyone. She loved smiling at Pop and was glad to meet her cousins Dustin and Julie. Emily really loved Julie and was so happy hanging out with her.
Beside playing with Julie, Emily also got to meet and spend time with Great Grandma Hardy. The 91 year age difference didn’t seem to make a difference – they hit it off immediately.
Next up was so play time in Dustin’s Trans Am. he has worked so hard on that car – the girls thought it was really cool and Katelyn even got to pretend to drive it.
As soon as the sun headed down, the sparklers came out.
Gram bought a giant fireworks package so we had a nice show in Grandma Hardy’s front yard while we waited for the local show to begin.
Dustin had a great time lighting the show for us and we all enjoyed watching together.
When it was finally time for the big show to start, Katelyn and Brooke were getting sleepy so Dustin got silly. He tried to keep them awake, but Brooke couldn’t quit hold on.
Emily on the other hand, rallied and enjoyed the whole show from Gram’s lap.
Happy Birthday America!
