The Day We Learned the Backpack Trick

One of our favorite activities in Utah, continues to be playing with Dixie.  Unfortunately, Brooke is super allergic to her, so she has to watch the action.  Dixie doesn’t understand why she doesn’t join in on the fun, so Brooke built a pillow fortress to keep her safe.  Emily likes watching the fun from Pop’s lap, and Katelyn can’t get enough play time with her Dixie dog.

She loves to feed her biscuits and teach her tricks.  This summer however, Katelyn came up with a new way to make Dixie be extra obedient.

She figured out that if she put the biscuit in a backpack and then wore the backpack, she would get Dixie’s undivided attention.  It worked like a charm and they all had a great time playing.
