To help celebrate Kyle on Father’s Day this year, the girls each had a chance to write about him at church in their primary and nursery classes. It is always so fun to see things through a child’s eyes. Here is what they had to say about their wonderful daddy.
From Brooke – age 3 My dad is as kind as… mommy
My dad is as strong as… healthy (when she prays, she always says, “and bless us to be healthy and strong” My dad is as tall as… a building
My dad is as funny as… monkeys
I love my dad as much as… my sisters If my dad was a robot, i would program him to… play games
From Katelyn – age 7 My dad is as kind as… my mom
My dad is as strong as… our new play set
My dad is as tall as… a house
My dad is as funny as… a joke book
I love my dad as much as… my sisters
If my dad was a robot, i would program him to… clean my room and do my chores
Of course Emily wasn’t able to write anything about for Kyle for Father’s Day but she had lots of big smiles and silly grins for him.
We had a nice day together that included going to church and yummy steak dinner and some time for Kyle to relax with his girls while they played with their portable electronics. Once again, Emily was the odd man out, but she was quite content with being a spectator.
We also got to spend the morning with my dad. He had to catch a plane right after breakfast, but it was so fun to get to spend the weekend with him and see him on father’s day.
The girls ended the day by trying out their new play set that Pop and Kyle assembled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Because of some missing parts, it wasn’t quite finished, but the girls didn’t even seem to notice. They love it and I know it will provide many many hours of fun in our backyard.
We had such a fun day and are so glad we had chance to celebrate the wonderful Father’s in our lives.
