The Day the Student Became the Teacher

Katelyn & Mrs Radmaker 6-3-10One of the culminating events of 2nd grade is  when each class has their big performance of the play “Save the Plants.”  The kids practice long and hard and are so excited for their big night on stage.

Katelyn was excited to play the role of the teacher at Greenhouse Elementary, Professor Greenthumb. She loves her teacher Mrs. R, and was happy to emulate her in their production.  Katelyn also got to be a narrator and an Iris at the end of the show.

Brooke absolutely loved the show and we were so glad that Emily slept or drank a bottle through the entire thing.

Katelyn had a great time performing with her friends in the show.  Here she is with Ben and Bradley, they played the parts of Pea Pod #4 and Aphid #4; and her good friend Jessica who played the part of one of her students, Mary Gold.

We were so excited that our good friends came to watch too.  “Little” Kyle and Kara insisted on coming to see Katelyn’s show and Tami was nice enough to bring them.  Katelyn thought it was pretty neat having her own fan club there.   We all loved the show and are so happy that our kids go to such a great school.
