After our lunch with the princesses it was time to hit the rides. The lines were short and the weather was perfect. It was a great afternoon.
King Triton’s Carrousel proved to be a great home base. Brooke and Emily (and at least one adult handler) rode it over and over while Katelyn (and her handler(s) could fan out and ride some of the big kid rides.
Katelyn loved Mickey’s Fun Wheel – we eventually did it later as a group but she wanted to try the swinging track which didn’t appeal to most of our group.
Kyle and I also took Katelyn to ride California Screamin’ – she loved it and we were able to ride it several times in row because the lines were almost non-existent.
Next we headed over to ride the California Zephyr with the crew. That was a real crowd pleaser too.
After a few rides on the Zephyr, Kyle took Emily back to the room so she could take a nap in her drawer. The rest of us kept on riding while the lines were short and the sun was shinning.
The girls loved the Jellyfish Drop and the view from the top was so pretty.
We rode a few more “big kid” rides while Emily was asleep and had a blast. Soarin’ Over California was the group favorite for the afternoon.
In order to position ourselves for the parade, we did a few more rides in A Bug’s Land. The Lady Bug Boogie kept us spinning and Tuck and Roll’s Drive’Em Buggies kept us laughing until we couldn’t see straight.
Emily woke up just in time to join us for the Pixar Parade. All three girls loved watching and waving at some of their favorite characters and picking out who they would like to be if they got to be in the parade someday.
It was a fun and sunny afternoon in California Adventure Park and we were ready for an evening of fun.
