Katelyn and I love to plant our garden, but we were especially excited this year because we knew Brooke would really be into it… and she was! She jumped right in and tried to keep up with her sister who by the way has turned into quite a gardener. After waiting and waiting for nice weather, it was finally time to get our seeds and shovels and head out for some fun.
Brooke and Katelyn both love gardening but they each have their own approach. Katelyn has always been “neat and clean” gardener. It is fancy and fun and you do not get dirty. Any dirt that you come in direct contact with, must be washed off immediately. She wears gloves, uses a kneeler and only moves dirt by using some kind of tool or gardening apparatus.
Brooke has more of a “hands-on everything” style. She will gladly sit in the dirt while she works and she thinks shovels are cool but prefers to use her hands to push the dirt over her newly planted seeds.
We had so much fun gardening together and they are already talking about the harvest we will have in the fall. Albertson’s will definitely have to supplement our “crop” in order for it to meet their expectations, but I am so glad that they enjoy working together and that they understand to some degree anyway, where our food comes from.

Cuteness! I think Calvin likes to garden like Brooke, and omg I love Brooke's pigtails in the next section!
Isn't so funny to see how different two kids with the same parents raised in the same house can be? They definitely come with their own little personalities, huh? Such cuties!! Love them!!
