After a great visit in Montreal, we decided to take a slight detour on our way back to the United States and stop in Quebec City. Kyle had checked it out and thought it would be nice to have lunch in Old Quebec City. He is the best tour guide ever. Old Quebec City is so cute it is ridiculous. It feels just like a quaint little town in France. Everything was picture perfect!
The architecture was incredible and we even got to see part of the old fort – it was the part with cannons so Kyle and the girls were very happy.
Next it was time for lunch and we found this cute little place. It was appropriately named “The Crazy Pig.” It’s funny how a name like that sounds so fancy when it is in French. The food was absolutely amazing and my croque-monsieur was even better than the night before. The restaurant was right next to a boutique and we loved their clever display outside the building. They had mounted painted shoes in a path all around the exterior. It was really cool looking.
After our fun French afternoon we headed to Maine. It was a beautiful drive and despite all of the maple products we purchased, they let us back into the US. Home Sweet Home.
