So this year, our Christmas break didn’t give us much snow, so we decided to make our own. We made some 3-D snowflakes that were really fun. They were a little bit tricky for Brooke, so she was our tape dispenser – she held pre-torn pieces of tape on her fingers for us. They turned out great!
We also tried making snowflakes out of Borax and pipe cleaners. Some of our snowflakes got crazy big, so we also made some smaller shapes, like hearts and snowgirls. We set them in the jars over night…
…and they didn’t work. So we remixed our Borax potion and tried again. They turned out great the second time! They were sparkly and looked great on our tree. So we learned that if wintertime gives you no snow, make some! I love that our snowflakes aren’t hard to drive in and require no shoveling. We are anxious for some real snow, but in the meantime, this will tide us over.
