The Day We Remembered Some Holiday Fun

This holiday season was packed from start to finish with lots of fun and memorable moments. So I decided to document a few of them.

Gram came to visit us and we had so much fun shopping, baking and playing. I took these pictures of her with Brooke the day she had to leave. We had so much fun with her and are so glad she came to visit.

The girls also loved playing with the Christmas Little People. It was so fun to watch them and we laughed every time Brooke would ask Katelyn to "play Christmas peoples." You could usually find Brooke carrying around a minimum of 6 people at a time and if she dropped one, she knew which one it was and would not settle for a different replacement. Most of the toys play music, so a lot of their play involved dancing. It was so cute and made us very dizzy. They also wore their reindeer ears (given to them by Aunt Jill back in 2002) a lot, which I always love. Here is a picture of our reindeer Brooke at age 23 months and reindeer Katelyn when she was only 4 months old.

They were still able to wear the dresses they got last year. It is so fun to see how much they change in a year. Here they are in 2008 and 2007.

This year, Katelyn's Christmas break started two days early because of all the snow we were getting. The roads were horrible so when we went to church the Sunday before Christmas we drove the jeep... gotta love that 4-wheel drive. The best part was that when we were loading the kids up, Brooke said "What's this car?" We realized she'd never been in the jeep... she of course noticed that too. The weather was crazy enough that they canceled the last half of church so that everyone could get home before it got worse. Little did we know that our weather would continue to be crazy well into the new year. Here are the girls as we were getting ready to leave for church.

We've had so many fun moments this holiday that didn't fit in to a particular post, so here is another video (again designed especially for grandparents and really nice aunts and cousins) that includes some of my favorite random moments. Warning: This video WILL cause dizziness, we recommend taking a hefty dose of Dramamine before watching it.
