The Day that was Really "Great"

Lunch at Taco Time 8-20-08During our summer visit to Utah we took part in our ritualistic trip to the Taco Time in Riverton to celebrate Great-Aunt Gay's 29th birthday. I don't know if it is the company or the deep-fried fruit filled empanada's or a combination of both, but we always have the best time and somehow it is always Aunt Gay's 29th birthday.

Brooke watching Gay's Fish 8-20-08After lunch the ritual continues with a trip to Aunt Gay's house of wonders. She has an amazing fish tank that never ceases to amaze the girls and she has Oscar the talking Cockatiel.

Watching OscarOscar

Brooke loved Oscar and Oscar was instinctively afraid of Brooke. He spent some time playing with Katelyn but as soon as Brooke went into his room, he was done. Like I said, he is a very smart bird.

Playing Piano at Gay's 8-20-08So the girls went back to to the aquarium and even played some songs for all of us on the piano. Having Gram take us to the Riverton facility of Animal Planet to visit with a great-aunt and a great-grandma was definitely GREAT! We can't wait to do it again next year.
