After our fun lunch by the water, Kyle took us to see the Canadian side of Glacier Park. The town was so majestic and had lots of cute shops and buildings, oh yeah, their were glaciers there too. But seriously the town was darling. We also managed to find a great ice cream shop and some more water for the kids to skip rocks.
There was also a beautiful waterfall that kids enjoyed. Everything looked unreal, like it was right out of a movie. After taking some pictures by the waterfall, we were trying to decide if we should hang around a little longer so that we could have dinner in Canada before heading back to our cabin in "the States." There were a lot of restaurants that looked like they might be good, so we were leaning that way. That's when we got distracted.
As we were driving along we saw a herd of deer just hanging out on some grass, so we stopped to take a look. We've definitely seen our fair share of deer before, but there were a lot of them in one spot this time and they did not seem the least bit bothered by us - they didn't even flinch and were not about to move. I didn't zoom in for any of these pictures but there was a chain link fence protecting us from each other.
Once we'd bothered the deer long enough we finally made a decision about dinner... we decided to head back into Montana so that the girls could have some play time at the cabin. When we finally reached the border it was approximately 5:45 p.m. That's when we saw the sign that we had all somehow NOT noticed when we entered the country - It read: BORDER CLOSES at 6:00 p.m. PHEW... we made it, but it was close. That would have been an expensive dinner if we had decided to stay in Canada because we would have needed a new place to stay or had a very very long drive to the other border entry point - that was during the . We were definitely all glad to be back on "American soil" that night and the girls were thrilled to play in the cabin after a great dinner at the lodge.
