On Tuesday we finally had enough snow to play in and necessitate wearing boots. Kate and her BFF Sara were so excited to play in it as soon as we got home from school. Brooke wanted to join them, so I took her in to put on some boots and get her gloves. By the time we came back outside, the girls had made these two snowmen all by themselves. I was so impressed and they were so proud of their creations. The only thing they needed help with was inserting part of the mouth (since the snowman’s head was like a giant ice ball) and of course for me to take their picture. Even though Brooke missed out on the construction phase of the project she was anxious to be part of the picture and to participate in the warming up phase which consisted of hot chocolate with whipped cream, sprinkles and marshmallows, fleece blankets and an afternoon showing of the Chipmunk Christmas movie. We are definitely ready for more snow days.
