The Day Emily Learned About Shoes

Before Emily could even walk, she was interested in shoes.  She didn’t put them on her feet though.  Instead she would wear them on her hands while she crawled around.  We affectionately called this game, “shoe hands” and both girls played it with her.  As soon as she started walking though, she quit putting them on her hands, and mastered putting them on her feet and walking.  The only ones she didn’t try on were her own, of course. 

As you can see, she went from shoe hands to wearing Pop’s size 13 Reeboks.  She didn’t travel far in them, but she was proud of her new style.  Then she moved on to wearing Katelyn’s flip flops…

…and Katelyn’s tennis shoes.  Then she found Kyle’s shoes and recently discovered my pink flip flops.  But she only wears them if she has sunglasses on too.  This girl loves shoes, except her own of course.  She pulls them off immediately.  Maybe she’ll share shoes with Katelyn sooner than I ever imagined.
