One of our favorite summer traditions is spending a day playing downtown with “Little” Kyle and Kara. We started off the fun seeing Kung Fu Panda 2. The big kids loved it, but Emily passed out in the car before we even got there. So Tami went in to see the movie with the kids and I hung out with E while she got some beauty rest.
After the movie, we headed for down town. The kids unanimously picked Mobius as our first destination. That proved to be a great idea. There were only about 10 other people in the entire place. It was perfect and the kids had a blast.
Their favorite activity this time was definitely the show they created and performed on the stage (it had 3 sequels). It was loosely based on Kung Fu Panda 2.
Next up, we headed to Riverfront Park… their was a little of running…
…followed by a lot of water and sun worshiping.
Since you aren’t allowed to feed the ducks any more, we decided to watch the ducks and feed us. We devoured way too many of the fresh mini-donuts they sell by the river.
Then we played on the wagon slide until the kids were so worn out they could hardly protest when we said it was time to go… but they still did. That’s the sign of a really good day… worn out but super happy kids.
