We were so excited to have Gram and Pop come to celebrate Christmastime with us. They arrived on the 26th which helped keep the “after-Christmas blues” away. The girls could hardly wait for church to end so we could head to the airport. After we picked them up we came home for a yummy dinner of left-over Prime Rib and then opened presents. We saved their gift to Emily so they could see her enjoy the fun.
Emily loved her new music table – she loves standing and things that make noise, so it was the perfect combination for her. Her sisters are also big fans of all the silly songs it plays. They have a dance to go with just about all of them already.
The girls were all so happy that Gram and Pop were finally at our house. Brooke was anxious to show them her bruised nose (it doesn’t show up very well in this photo, but it was a nice shade of green and purple) and Emily remembered Gram and Pop quickly and was ready to play.
We enjoyed some yummy chocolate fondue for dessert.
The girls also decided that sharing a room wasn’t enough – so they had a sleepover up in Katelyn’s bed. It took awhile, but eventually they went to sleep amongst the 500 stuffed animals Katelyn has in her bed.
We had so much fun with Gram and Pop and were so glad they came to spend part of Christmas break with us. Come back soon!
