Harvest day is always one of our summertime favorites. The girls were so glad that our garden patiently waited for us to return from our trip to Utah and Idaho, but the day after we got back it was time to start picking.
The girls picked more beans and peas than I ever thought we could possibly produce in our little garden and we couldn’t believe how tall the sunflowers had grown while we were gone.
Emily supervised the entire operation (even though we did catch her laying down on the job) and when it was time she served as our Quality Control Specialist.
As it turns out, everything was great! She didn’t come right out and say it, but she was eating beans and peas as fast as we could give them to her and anytime we stopped she’d say, “MORE MORE MORE.”
Still to come, tomatoes, pumpkins and man-eating sunflowers…
