The Day We Had a “Jade Day”

So my good friend Monika has four darling kids… three boys and one girl.  Her daughter Jade is an absolute sweetheart.  My girls love her and she loves my girls.  When we were visiting, we decided that Jade definitely needed a some girl time.  We are so used to girl time at our house that sometimes we forget what a luxury it really is.

Jade was so happy about everything.  When we picked her up she couldn’t wait to select a girly movie to watch, there wasn’t even a non-girly choice in our DVD case.  I’ve never seen someone so excited to find multiple Barbie DVDs, except maybe for Brooke.  The girls played at my mom’s house and then went swimming too.  While we were at the pool, they wore our diving rings around their ankles and played “mermaids” almost the entire time.  Jade loved that there were no sharks or pirates anywhere to be found.  She loves her brothers and so do we, but sometimes, pure girly bliss is a necessity.  We finished up with a bona fide tea party lunch on the balcony served on miniature dishes color coded for each of the girls and their color du jour.

We had so much fun Jade and can’t wait to see you again!  We love and miss you!

I can't say thank you enough. She loves you guys so much! She asked me if she can call Katelyn a sister instead of just a cousin. I say why not!! Please come back very soon!! I think she was just as thrilled seeing a post about her as she was that day (ok well maybe not quite!)
