Katelyn has been so anxious to fish ever since she got her beloved fishing pole for Christmas, so we headed out to give it a shot. It was a beautiful day and a perfect fishin’ hole, but it was so hot that we decided all of the fish were melting instead of biting.
Katelyn hung in there and kept waiting patiently for something to bite. She didn’t have any luck, but she did have a lot of fun trying.
Brooke and Emily were more interested in the fun play structure that was near the lake. We went over to play but instead we ended up baking. It was so hot that Emily couldn’t take it any more despite the fun factor. So we called it a day.
Gram found another good spot for us to try a few days later. It was a little bit cooler and Emily wasn’t invited this time, so the odds were in our favor.
The fish still weren’t biting but it was a fun adventure and the ducks did a great job entertaining us.
